When I went outside earlier today, it was chilly out there! No denying it's Fall now.  The holidays will be upon us in a matter of weeks! This time of year is my absolute favorite between the food, holiday cheer, and time spent with family and friends.  It's not too early to start your holiday shopping if you haven't already.  What kind of gifts are you in the market for this year?

I'm always on the lookout for new toys for Scarlett to enjoy.  She goes through phases of really loving certain toys and then seeming less interested in them.  It's sometimes hard to gauge what her latest interest is.  Lately she's really been into books and puzzles and it seems like the level of enthusiasm is staying constant.

I knew the Green Toys Tea Time and Garden Puzzles would be something that Scarlett would instantly love.  Puzzles encourage and develop hand-eye coordination as well as fine motor skills.  What child wouldn't love the adorable brightly-colored jumbo pieces featured in a Green Toys puzzle? Scarlett seems to gravitate more toward puzzles with larger pieces because they're easier to hold, and she can complete them with less challenge.  The garden and teatime setting of the puzzle is perfect for Scarlett, especially since she loves flowers and her tea set.

Since the weather is cooing down more and more, we'll be spending more time inside and puzzles will definitely be a source of entertainment.

We're always on the hunt for new and interesting books to capture Scarlett's interest, and I was happy to see that Green Toys included their Boats Built for Speed book.  This story features the adorable journey of Davey and Pearl's adventure in delivering boxes across the lake and what happens along the way.  Scarlett really loves animals and of course pointed to the ducks with enthusiasm.  It looks like this one may become a fast bedtime favorite!
