Huggies Review

With my daughter due in under 8 weeks, I've certainly done my fair share of getting everything ready for her.  The drawers in her changing table are filled with newborn and baby care items, and the shelves underneath are stocked with diapers and wipes. Babies go through countless diapers in their first few weeks of life so it's essential to be ready.   If you're having a baby soon, do you have everything you need for your little bundle of joy's arrival?

Huggies is the first brand I think of when it comes to diapers.  The disposable diaper brand has been a staple for babies since 1978.  Huggies is there for your baby from the very beginning as a preemie, all the way up to size 6 which would be for a toddler.  The product-line up includes Little Snugglers, Little Movers, Snug and Dry Diapers, Pure and Natural, and Overnites.  Pull-ups are also available for children who are transitioning from diapers to underwear.  Huggies is a trusted band that's been recommended to me throughout my entire pregnancy by many moms.  If you're currently researching diaper brands for your child's arrival, you can count on Huggies to get the job done.

I have to admit that I've never changed a diaper in my life, and neither has my husband.  I know that might be hard for some to believe, but it's true.  We have an infant care class coming up and diaper changing will be a topic that will be discussed.  It's essential that we pay attention and ask any questions we have, because it's important to know how to properly change a baby.  

Luckily, we'll get a lot of diaper changing practice in soon because Huggies generously sent a wonderful package.  Inside the large box was a Skip-hop grey chevron diaper bag, two packs of diapers, a soft cuddly toy, baby lotion, and a wonderfully luxurious blanket.  This was so kind of them and it put a big smile on my face when I opened the box.  

The diaper bag is really cute and I actually like it a lot better than the one I currently have! Chevron is one of my favorite prints, and the grey neutral theme is not overly girly for when my husband needs to use the bag.  I'm sure he'll appreciate that! The deep, spacious pockets are ideal for holding anything you need for baby while on-the-go.  Since my daughter will be born during the cold months of the year, the lotion will be essential for keeping her dry skin at bay.  The cuddly toy is perfect for letting my daughter hold and play with.  What baby doesn't love a soft and cute bear? I absolutely love the included throw blanket too.  It will be practically mandatory for cuddling up with on the couch for TV watching when she's sleeping. 

The Huggies diapers are from the Little Snugglers line.  I received two packs, one in the newborn size, and the other in size 1.  The newborn size goes up to 10 lbs, and size 1 is for babies up to 14 lbs.  If you don't know what size diaper you need for your baby's weight, the indicator is right on the bottom. This is certainly convenient and will save you a headache when at the store.

Little Snugglers diapers give your baby unbeatable skincare.  There are many features about this diaper that are truly awesome.  How about a flexible, pocketed back waistband to help keep in mess? This will help contain potential blow-outs which no parent wants to deal with. In the beginning when diaper changing is still new to me, I want all the help I can get.  The wetness indicator lets you know when it's time to change baby.  This is certainly a fantastic feature since you won't have to keep guessing or wondering if baby went to the bathroom. An umbilical cord cut-out helps to protect sensitive belly buttons on a newborn, which I will be thankful for in her first few days and weeks of life.  The unique stretchy snug fit waistbands provides a gentle secure fit which you and baby will approve of.  

A new feature of the diaper is the gentle absorb liner which offers a cushiony layer of protection with hundreds of tiny absorbent pillows to help draw mess away from your baby's delicate newborn skin.  The cottony soft inside and out helps to keep baby comfortable.  No baby wants to be left in their own mess so the fact that the gentle absorb liner is there to help baby is a huge plus.  What more could you want out of a diaper?

I've opened the packs to put the diapers away in the changing table.  Even though my daughter is not here yet to use them, they seem very durable and ready to handle any job that comes their way.  I'm impressed with their thickness and high quality.  I know this is one brand that I'll be trusting for some time to come.
