I was sent a gold Bobsweep for review. The color is very pretty.  I feel very fortunate to have received it because my schedule is hectic these days.  I'm pregnant and I've been working long hours at work.  The last thing I want to do when I get home is vacuum my floors. I'm exhausted!  Bob understands this and in return I feed him dinner via my carpets and hardwoods.

I used the robotic vacuum for the first time the other day.  I have to routinely vacuum my floors because my dog sheds a lot.  Her hair always collects and fills up my vacuum bags quickly.  Since I knew Bob was coming, I decided to not vacuum her hair for a day before to put the robotic vacuum to the test.  The unit was easy to install and initially use.  There is a charging station that Bob hangs out in so he has enough energy to do a fantastic cleaning job.  When you're ready to use him, you can hit the auto button on the provided remote and he will learn the layout of your house to clean.  The attached rubber bumpers on him help to prevent damage to furniture if he knocks into it. 

The sweepers underneath do a fantastic job of picking up dust and debris, and they certainly picked up a lot of my dog's hair.  I was really impressed because dog hair embedded into a rug isn't always easy to get out. My rugs looked fantastic afterwards, and the best part was that I didn't have to vacuum myself at all! The only thing I noticed right away was that the unit is very loud.  Once you're done using Bob, he automatically goes back to his docking station to recharge and get ready for the next time you need him. When you want to empty out the collected dirt, simply empty the tray into the garbage. This does make Bob sad though, because he loves to eat dirt. 

I have Bob programmed to run everyday at around 3 pm.  That way my rugs and floors are always clean when I get home from work. On the weekends, I run Bob myself.  I am impressed at how he reaches all of the hard-to-reach areas, like underneath my couches and TV stand.  I certainly get into those areas with a regular vacuum.

My dog Carolyn who isn't scared of a regular vacuum at all really enjoyed watching Bob in action.  She wagged her tail a few times and tried to jump on it! I think she thought it was her own personal toy. Bob was too smart for her and wasn't distracted by her urge to play.  He knew serious cleaning was in order. 

I am very impressed with the Bobsweep and I intend to use it for some time to come. I am very happy to get a break from cleaning, and Bob loves to clean my floors so it's a win-win for both.  If you're looking to spend less time cleaning and more time with your family, Bob is ready to become the newest member of your family.
