Johnson and Johnson Review and Giveaway

When I think of band-aids, the first name that comes to mind is Johnson and Johnson. I consider them the go-to brand for any medications or first-aid supplies. I've been using Johnson and Johnson products for years and consider them trustworthy and extremely reliable. I know many moms solely buy J&J products for their babies too.


Johnson and Johnson is a global American pharmaceutical, medical devices and consumer packaged goods manufacturer founded in 1886. Johnson & Johnson's brands include numerous household names of medications and first aid supplies. Among its well-known consumer products are the Band-Aid Brand line of bandages, Tylenol medications, Johnson's baby products, Neutrogena skin and beauty products, Clean & Clear facial wash and Acuvue contact lenses.

I was sent several varieties of band-aids to review. I received BAND-AID® Brand Clear WATER BLOCK PLUS® Adhesive Bandages, BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages plus Antibiotic, and BAND-AID® Brand Advanced Healing Blister Ampoules.

Now I don't get too many cuts or injuries myself, but it's always good to have supplies on hand whether you or someone else in your home needs it.

BAND-AID® Brand Clear WATER BLOCK PLUS® Adhesive Bandages


Band-aids in the water can be really annoying. Let's say you have a gash on your knee that you cover with a regular band-aid. You go swimming in a public pool and what happens pretty much instantly? The band-aid begins to come off, of course. The chlorine stings your cut and doesn't make for a very good time or a happy you.

The water block plus band-aids are truly awesome. They are 100% waterproof meaning they will stay on securely and block out any and all water whether you are going swimming in the beach or just taking a shower. They also block out dirt and germs and are easy to apply. These band-aids are clear, not the normal skin color that band-aids usually come in.

BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages plus Antibiotic

These band-aids are convenient one-step infection protection. They minimize the appearance of scars. You also don't have to worry about applying any kind of antibotic on the band-aid because there is antibiotic ointment right on the pad. Heals wounds faster than with an ordinary bandage and helps prevent infection.

Usually if you put neosporine on a band aid and then apply it to the affected area, the band-aid can become slippery and greasy from the ointment and doesn't stay on properly. With Johnson and Johnson adhesive bandages plus antibotic, you can forget about having a messy application. The ointment is on the pad and you can definitely feel it going to work to protect against infection and aide the healing process immediately. The ointment does not ooze out of the sides of the bandage either. The band-aid is easy to apply and take off, and it stays on well too.

The most important thing to me about these band-aids are the fact that they minimize against the appearance of scars. I have a few scars on my legs and they really bother me, I wouldn't be up to adding anymore either, so I would do whatever I could to minimize in gaining anymore. I love that these band-aids have taken into account people's concerns and developed a product to help!

The band-aids come in neon colors (not featured here), plus the usual skin-colored too. I would prefer the normal tan color because I feel these colors are geared towards children. Once you get used to the colors, it's fine though. Children would love the colors though and be happy to put a pink or green band-aid on their cut or scrape. I like that the band-aids come in assorted sizes as to fit your injury perfectly.

BAND-AID® Brand Advanced Healing Blister Ampoules

These band-aids have my name written all over them. My feet take such a beating with blisters, it's truly a problem. In my day I've worn many pairs of bad shoes, or shoes for the first time and gotten very painful blisters on the top of my foot or even on my ankle. It's terrible and the slightest rub from a shoe in the affected area can cause me a lot of pain. In the summer the strap from my flip flop sometimes gives me a small blister too. I've covered the blisters with band-aids but they don't stay in place long or when I walk they easily come off inside my shoe. I wish I knew about these band-aids before receiving them to review!

These band-aids are the perfect size and shape to cover a blister completely. Let's face it, when you have a blister, you want it gone IMMEDIATELY. People even pop them but that's a terrible idea because you can have a scar and a possible infection from doing that too, not to mention that it's not hygenic. These band-aids take your pesky blisters into account and do their best to use their advanced healing powers to rid you of them quickly.

I had a small blister on the side of the top of my foot the other day. I put a band-aid on the affected area. Not only was I still able to wear the shoes that gave me the blister in the first place (and comfortably wear them I might add) but the band aid stayed in place and didn't cause me any pain! Two days later the blister was gone and I was amazed. I will definitely use these whenever I have a blister in the future.
