Alouette Cheese Review and Giveaway

If there's anything I love more than chocolate (and you all know I'm a big chocolate fan!) it's cheese. I'm not a huge fan of imported or speciality cheeses, but I do love a hearty slice of cheddar or provolone on a sandwich. I'll even have my cheese on a nice whole wheat cracker too.

I was sent a new product from Alouette, light spinach artichoke soft spreadable cheese. The cheese has 50% less fat and 30% less calories than regular spreadable cheese. The cheese is also gluten-free.


I've never really had spreadable cheese before, and especially not a delicious combination like spinach artichoke. The container is large and is filled with a decent amount of cheese. The first thing I noticed when I opened the cheese for the first time was the aroma of fresh spinach. The cheese smelled fantastic. It is white with bits of green spinach and tan artichoke pieces mixed in. Everything is mixed together perfectly so each bite has the perfect amount of spinach and artichoke in it.

The cheese is very creamy and is truly easily spreadable. I enjoyed the cheese with a few pretzel sticks. The taste of the cheese is a little tangy with a hint of fresh spinach and artichoke. I can taste both flavors equally, and I really loved the cheese. Two tablespoons of the cheese are 40 calories, so it's not going to undo your day of healthy eating. The cheese would be an excellent choice to serve at a party with whole wheat crackers or even warmed up pita bread. Why not be creative and come up with a fabulous recipe using this cheese? I know everyone will love it!
