Schwan's Review and Giveaway

I've had the pleasure of trying Schwan's food in the past. I had some of their outstanding tortilla soup and four cheese pizza. Both items were full of flavor and satisying. I knew one day I would have the opportunity to try some of their great foods again :)



Schwan's, is an online grocery store that offers food delivery to your home. Products range from ice cream and dessert to meats, side dishes, breakfast items, main entrees, snacks, fruits/vegetables and more. I guarantee that you will fall in love with their food. The company is friendly and has great customer service. I think it's so convenient and fun that a grocery store on wheels comes to your house and saves you the trouble and hassle of grocery shopping yourself. (Taken from website.)

I was sent a mouth watering 6 oz portion of their baked ziti from the new Fresco by Scotto line and also a microwable brownie that looked fabulous. Fresco by Scotto is a family owned Italian restaurant in New York City. Their concept is simple: to serve delicious, fresh, seasonally inspired food in a warm atmosphere. The baked ziti is a small portion and could be shared among two people, but I don't think anymore than that. It is very easy to prepare and in minutes you're enjoying a restaurant quality meal. The pasta is cooked al dente, and the cheese is very fresh and melty which I absolutely love. The sauce is nice and is robust and full of flavor. It's a pasta lover's dream.

What's better then to end a great dinner than with a sweet treat? You sometimes have to indulge! This brownie is warm and gooey and loaded with dark chocolate chips. Warm brownies go excellently with cold and creamy vanilla ice cream. Go on and enjoy some decadence! Just zap the brownie in the microwave and in no time it's melty, hot, warm, and so yummy. The chocolate was rich and very satisying. It's an excellent dessert for any occasion. I love the contrast of the milk and dark chocolate together, it's a nice twist. The pasta and the dessert would be a great date night meal with your significant other. There's nothing better than good food and warm conversation with the person that you love.
