North Carolina BBQ Review and Giveaway

Growing up in North Carolina, BBQ was not something that I was a stranger to. Pulled pork sandwiches are delicious and if I go to a BBQ restaurant, you can guarantee that's what I'll be ordering. I also very much enjoy making BBQ chicken too.

North Carolina BBQ company was founded to deliver to doorsteps across the country the unique culinary culture of our great state. Our goal is to provide a true representation of the two distinct styles of North Carolina barbecue; the Piedmont (western style) and the Eastern style. There is a civil disagreement among barbecue purists in our state that has been percolating for well over a century, with no sign of resolve.

Our aim is to not pick a side in this epicurean battle, but merely present the argument. Not only have we produced an authentic Eastern and Piedmont BBQ, sauce, and slaw combination, we have found the best way to deliver it anywhere in the USA. My boyfriend is a gigantic BBQ fan and if given the choice to eat it everyday for the rest of his life, I can guarantee you he wouldn't have a problem with it.

I was sent a large variety pack of delicious BBQ products to try. I received two sauces-one Eastern and one Piedmont style. Two coleslaws one Eastern and Piedmont style. Lastly, I received two separate packages of shredded BBQ.



The picture shows 4 sauces, but I only received two. Once the box arrived, my boyfriend was so excited to dig in. He made the bag of Eastern BBQ with the coleslaw first. He poured a little of the sauce on top too. You put the bag of meat in boiling water for 10 minutes, so it's an easy but unique cooking method. It's completely done after that and ready to eat. The meat was hot and tender and juicy. It was perfect and bursting with delicious tangy flavor. The sauce had a kick since it's made with a vinagery-pepper mix. When the sauce combined with the meat it was pure heaven in your mouth and utterly amazing.

The Piedmont and Eastern foods had a different taste to them with us preferring the Eastern. The Piedmont coleslaw had a BBQ flavor to it, while the Eastern was a more traditional tasting coleslaw.

All in all this was a great assortment of BBQ. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's a BBQ fan or someone who has moved out of the south and is craving some homestyle cooking. This would also make a great gift too.
