There's been a new introduction of gluten free cereals to the Chex lineup. Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Honey Nut Chex, Chocolate Chex, and Cinnamon Chex have been reformulated to be gluten free and offer a great tasting, crunchy morning breakfast option. This is very important because it provides another food option for individuals who have gluten free diets.
MyBlogSpark.com graciously sent me a coupon for a free box of gluten free chex, a microwavable bowl, a Chex gluten-free recipe card and measuring spoons and cups.
While I don't have a gluten free diet myself, I know people who do. I think having a diet free of gluten is an individual's choice, whether it's for medical or personal reasons. I think individuals will be happy to expand their gluten free palates with these cereals. I thought the cereal tasted great though. I didn't notice too much of a difference from the normal Chex that I am used to eating.
The recipe booklet I was sent has really great looking desserts in it. There are recipes for chocolate pizza, Mexican chocolate brownies, triple berry mini cheesecakes, chex apple-almondb ars, and fruiti sushi (which is adorable!) I want to try the Mexican chocolate brownies, YUM!
The microwavable bowl, measuring cups and spoons will always come in handy too.

my family love Chex! It always disappears remarkably fast around here... and as for the stuff in this prize-pack that WILL stick around... I love the bowl, could really use the liquid measure, and has anyone seen what happened to all the tsp measuring spoons?

ReplyDeleteI want to win because I' m gluten intolerant so eating GF is not a choice for me, it's necessary! Chex is one of the few mass market cereals that are gluten free and in my book the tastiest, particularly the cinnamon.
