These hand made, one of a kind pieces of jewelry and gift items are made using a variety of fusible glass products. Dichroic glass has a metallic look surface, comes in a vivid range of colors and textures and is used in almost all of my pieces. After careful cutting, layering and placement, the glass goes into a kiln and fires once or several times depending on what the desired outcome is. For the initial firing when the temperature reaches around 1435 degrees the heat gets turned off and the annealing or cooling process begins and the result is nothing short of magical. If an item is getting slumped and taking on another shape other than a flat piece of glass, it gets put into a mold and fired again until the desired shape is achieved.

I was sent the layered dichroic earrings in the medium size.


Layers of patterned and solid pieces of fused dichroic glass make these earrings a must have! The shapes and colors make them quite unique. The glass measures approximately 1" x .75" and hang on sterling silver ear wires.

These earrings are very pretty and colorful and could match well with so many things. The versatility of the earrings is great! I like that each piece of Julie's jewelry is handmade and original. The earrings are not heavy on my ears, which is important to me. No matter how much I like how earrings look, if they are too heavy I will not wear them. I think it is special to have something that is handmade, unlike just going to the mall and buying a pair of earrings that anyone else could have too. The jewelry is built to last and is made very well. You won't be disappointed with a piece of this beautiful jewelry!
